Here are some pics of Bishop Charles Scott and ILD director Randy Lawrence speaking to our leaders at the regional Encounters. Bishop challenged us with the thought of Transition. That there is always transition going on in our lives. Randy, gave us HEART & SOUL leadership thoughts. Are you a heart and soul leader or just going through the routine. 1 Samuel 14. Read the story of an Influential leader and his 1 one follower and comment back to us on your thoughts from that story.

Project Haiti
I am officially overwhelmed at the support and outpouring that our teens/children and next gen leaders are giving for Project Haiti. In the first week we have now received $3800. We are going to receive another support offering for Haiti at our West Coast Encounter in Valencia CA. I cannot wait to see what God is going to do at the Encounter and for those who are opening up their hearts to give. I cannot wait to go to the next level of giving of our time and efforts and get into that country with a team in the coming months and rebuild our churches and properties and just be the arms of love and comfort. We want to lend in the restoration process. I have not felt this hurt or grieved for people since 911, but at the same time, I am excited that we can HELP!! We will eventually post on our site the info so you can go and work with us. Be prepared because it will be unlike mission that our team has taken. The itinerary is easy, go work and love people. Get Ready.

ILD Encounter/Next Gen
What a Life changing weekend we experienced at our Midwest/East Encounter in Rolla, Mo. I got to seek God through Heart felt worship. I got to open my heart to what his word would say to me through inspiring, motivational speakers and I got to network and connect with other leaders.
This morning we were evaluating the weekend and what it meant to us and having the advantage of doing some things that we missed at this Encounter for our west coast Encounter. As a denominational leader in the Pentecostal Church of God I recognized that this weekend was a moment that may be felt more in the future than the present. What brings me to this conclusion. I feel like we connected with the HEART & SOUL of next gen leaders. I know we all have a different perception of what next gen is. Hearing the phrase next gen can be like hearing an over-played song on the radio. While you love it at first after a while you just turn it off. Sitting in our creative room and talking about this weekend we decided that this would be our team position for next gen. After reading the statement below let us know how you define Next Gen?

- Next Gen is not an age group, but a mentality and commitment to succession leadership.

A few evening's ago I sat down to watch some TV. I was thumbing the channels and came across one particular minister who made an amazing statement using the most familiar passage in the word of GOD. John 3:16. "For God so loved the World that he gave his only Son that whosoever believes in him should not perish but have everlasting life". He followed up with a very practical statement. God calls you to love your neighbor. Just one person. Love the people around you, close to you. That will make a big difference in you leading people to Christ. God is the only one big enough to love the whole world. Oh, right what is that song, he's got the whole world in his hands. Just get some perspective and awareness of those around you and God will give you opportunity.
