Help us plan the 2011 General Convention

By Bishop Charles Scott
We would love your feedback on the following:
  1. Would you favor a conference forum with breakout sessions?

  2. What type of sessions would interest you?

  3. Would you prefer outside speakers for the main services?

  4. Would you prefer department led services per history?

  5. What are the most important areas for you in relation to general convention, i.e. what do you expect from the meeting?

  6. What would you most desire from general convention?

  7. What would you like to say about general convention?

  1. 1. Yes, a conference forum with breakouts would be great.
    2. Take topics that have been spoken about in the msgr mag. (I will speak for CP's. -Special Needs how to, Imparting Missions to kids, Stalemate(classroom face lifts)Teaching tech. -changing the wrapping to expose the gift to this generation, ILD/GH2(leadership mentor program) using kids to lead in ministry today. Lead pastor Q & A for church planters, etc. Global giving how to start in your church?
    3. One Outside speaker atleast or overall host would be a great change.
    4. Honor our departments by honoring them. Change is good.
    5. Looking back at our heritage is always good, through the scope of God's given vision for the PCG but offer opportunity for merging leaders to take ownership. We need the younger generations at the earliest possible level to catch the vision of the PCG.
    6. A chance to connect/get to know others globally. Connection, its not hard to connect when you were born and raised PCG but consider the others. We need to connect on every level- children pastors, lead pastors, missions and missionaries - etc.
    7. Last year was an amazing start to changing the atmosphere of GENCON. Keep the vision in front of the people, Inspire and Expect!
    Repsectfully - Stacy
